Dear Lynette,

I wanted to begin by thanking you for your time and for the message that came after our little chats. Because you trusted me enough to give me this leadership chance, I want to express my appreciation to you.

I was shocked to discover that our staff’s lack of diversity could account for a portion of the patients’ diminishing value, which highlighted the need for stronger group collaboration. Finding out that certain members of our community do not want to speak to us as they feel insulted or that our staff does not understand or reflect their culture saddens me as emphasized in NHS FPX 5004 Assessment 2. Given that we will be serving a large number of Haitian clients, we must develop solutions that will improve our staff about their way of life and culture and ensure that they implement those teachings in their daily lives. The formation of this committee will immensely help our ultimate objective of becoming more diverse as a hospital. Culturally competent health care is supported by actions, perspectives, and regulations that facilitate positive intercultural relationships (Brach et al., 2019).

Many positive traits are necessary for a successful project manager as highlighted in NHS FPX 5004 Assessment 2. Some of these involve having a broad idea of the path we need to take in order to accomplish common targets, being an effective communicator, and being an attentive listener. The system of collaboration for patient care ought to include the ability to communicate efficiently, collaborate, and share the skills and information of everyone on the healthcare team


in order to improve patient care (Brach et al., 2019). Although I was a telemetry floor nurse and worked in a predominantly diverse team, we also have a community that is predominantly speaking Spanish. This brought about numerous cultural problems because not all people were able to understand one another, which emphasized the importance of collaborative decision making.

Additionally in NHS FPX 5004 Assessment 2, we had a manager in town who gave us access to an easily readable online database that allowed us to educate ourselves on the material we were expected to know. The leadership abilities of Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, who employed transformational leadership to make his company a global powerhouse, had a significant impact on him. The transformational leadership motivates his workers in a manner that transcends compensation and payments. This approach, which explains the meaning and purpose of the company objectives, can enhance inner motivation in a team, as demonstrated through collaborative leadership. I suppose this kind of leadership, as well as a democratic decision-making process, could be a very successful way to introduce change in this facility. I had never imagined that when a group of so many varied individuals, who represent various backgrounds, gathers and brainstorms, the outcome is generally favorable as emphasized in NHS FPX 5004 Assessment 2. This type of collaboration enhances transparency and increases confidence and authentic belief in the plan to resolve the problem. Keeping the lines of communication open and making sure that everyone is on the same page are two of my best leadership traits, which strongly reflect leadership and collaboration. Even while I will urge and insist that the other team members assist in resolving this matter, as the leader of the group, I want for making sure that I can initiate the discussion and that the suggestions made are concentrated on the hospital’s general direction as emphasized in NHS FPX 5004 Assessment 2.

Having four or five individuals, I would like to be able to establish schedules and an idea of what we are expected to do. We need to make sensible timelines of the project and ensure the ultimate recommendation will work with the institution (Manspeaker et al., 2019).

Because this problem is impacting the hospital in numerous aspects, the team can anticipate that the team will meet every week in person or via the Internet. I would also be seeking to assign small personal objectives to each individual, in order to conquer this problem through division. If it is accessible, our group should be as diverse as possible, and I hope to welcome more individuals from various cultural backgrounds to work with us in the future. I would also like to see more diversity training provided to all employees both yearly and during onboarding to ensure that we are utilizing all of our skills to improve the patients. In order to solidify our position as a regional hospital and be able to win back our community’s trust, I would like to interact with members of the community, an approach that reflects leadership collaborative.

In order to monitor our progress in NHS FPX 5004 Assessment 2, we can share thoughts in a Google Drive during team meetings, which all upper management can access. In order to track and gather information on the success of our practice modifications, we should also think about implementing a system for surveying individuals of Haitian descent following their hospital stay. I think that working together, in addition to the team’s brainstorming and preexisting ideas, will enable us to solve this problem and change the hospital into one that is more diverse and treats every patient in the same comprehensive way, which demonstrates collaboration in leadership.
